PINTORCITO

Painting style guide

Falling Sand

Falling Sand mode lets you paint with tiny grains that react to gravity instead of sticking in place.

What Falling Sand painting is

Rather than drawing a fixed line, you release particles that tumble downward, slide sideways, and build soft little piles across the canvas.

How this style works in Pintorcito

  • Every gesture spawns colored grains into a lightweight cell simulation.
  • The grains fall vertically when space is open and shift diagonally when they need to settle.
  • The simulation is intentionally simple so it stays fast on phones.

Why it feels good to use

This mode feels alive. You make a mark, then watch the pile rearrange itself into something slightly unexpected.

Creative tips

  • Hold in one place to build towers and mounds.
  • Use contrasting colors in layers to create striped dunes.
  • A dark background makes the sand colors glow more clearly.
